The Broken Group is a classic west coast kayak destination which can be organized as a level 2, 3 or 4! I have not paddled there before so we will research, plan and decide together how we want the trip to unfold. We take the the Frances Barkley(Ferry) to Seachart Lodge. Base camp or move each day, paddle out to the exposed swells or stay in more protected waters, etc.. All of the channels can experience strong cross winds so comfort paddling in 10-12 knots for short periods is essential.
