Kayaking Lesson: Beginner+

This weekend course will teach all of the skills required to get on the water and more.  Amongst other things you will learn different paddle strokes, how to self-rescue, day trip planning and local trip options.  It will be delivered by a certified Paddle Canada instructor.  

Please bring:

• a lunch,
  
• a wet suit or dry suit,
• a synthetic layer for under the wet suit,
• rain jacket or wind shell that you don’t mind getting wet, 
• shoes or booties that you can wear in the water,
• a complete change of warm clothes for afterwards, and
• a non-medical grade face mask

Lessons will start on the hour - please arrive a bit early.  We will start on land and have an opportunity to change into wetsuits before we launch.

Please be aware that Covid-19 protocols are in effect at Jericho Sailing Centre and Club Locarno.

All participants are required to wear a mask while in the compound, maintain physical distancing, wash hands often and be kind! Participant information will be collected to facilitate contact tracing if required.
