Kayak Trip - Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast has many possible destinations and on this trip we will consult with the group to chose between the following destinations:

• Thormaby Island - Farm Bay: Proposed launching from Coopers Green. There is a crossing of less than a 1 km to Thormaby Island.  One proposed campsite, Farm Bay, is an undeveloped camp site without a pit toilet.  True wild camping!
• Sechelt Inlet up to Halfway which is a large established campsite with a pit toilet and a group fire pit. Sechelt Inlet has a wonderful variety of wild and settled coast line. 

Pre-requisites: Experience with Level 1 trips, comfortable with shorter crossings and winds up to 15-20 knots.

Kayak Trip Rating System

We will be limited to 6 paddlers, so if more apply to join we will select names at random on June 18th.

We will need cars to transport kayaks. Please indicate if you have a car available to use for the trip and how many kayaks you can transport.

Ferry reservations on the Langdale ferry will be required.
