Join us as we explore the Howe Sound area. We will park at Horseshoe Bay and roll kayaks onto the ferry to Langdale. Then, we will paddle over to Keats where we will camp for 2 nights (Thurs and Fri) at Plumper Cove.
Depending on group level and interest, we can do some day paddles in the area and explore Keats, the Pasley Islands and/or Bowen.
On Saturday, we will aim to paddle to Bowen and take the ferry back from there (with the option to return via Langdale depending on conditions or group energy levels).
Pre-requisites: Checked out to use the kayak fleet, and practiced self rescue within 12 months. Comfortable with shorter crossings and winds up to 15 knots.
Level: Level 2 or 3 Kayak Trip Rating System
We will be limited to 6 paddlers, so if more apply to join we will select names at random on Saturday June 20th. Priority may be given on ability to transport boats and to those who have not joined a trip this year.
