A trip to Curme Islands, a cluster of small islands in the warm, protected waters of Desolation Sound. From the Curme Islands we may be able to venture further to Roscoe Bay and into Pendrell Sound depending on the interests of the group.
The longest day will be about 20 km of paddling.
Pre-requisites: Experience in Level 1 trips. Some experience paddling in wind and chop. Ability to paddle at 3-4 km/h for 6 hours per day for two or three consecutive days (with breaks). Competent in self-rescues and rescue of others in moderate wind and waves.
Level: Level 2 Kayak Trip Rating System
We will be limited to 6 paddlers, so if more apply to join we will select names at random on July 3rd. There will be a online trip planning meeting with all participants the week before the trip and a test paddle as a group from Jericho.
