Lord Byng Pool is open to the public for kayaking on Friday from 2000 to 2100, and ClubLocarno has booked the pool for an additional hour until 2200, to give us time for more practice and a visit to the hot tub. We will meet at the kayak shed at 1845 to load boat(s) and gear, so that we can sign in at 1930 at the pool.
Admission for the public portion is around $6, payable at the pool. Please register if you want to join us, and indicate how many kayaks you can transport - you will need to pay $15 at the time of registration to help cover the cost of the additional hour.
We will bring our entire fleet of 7 plastic boats, and will pair up in teams of two for practice and support.
Consider bringing a wetsuit or rashguard for warmth (but remember that chlorine is hard on wetsuits), and possibly goggles and/or noseplugs if you are prone to flooding.
