Hood River windsurfing trip
After two years of the US-Canada border being closed to non-essential traffic, we can finally plan a club trip to Hood River, OR, again this year! We are tentatively planning a trip for the Canada day long weekend (June 30-July 4), weather permitting. Please register quickly to indicate your interest, as it's coming up soon and we need to get organizing.
As usual, some members may leave for the trip earlier and/or return later than the dates specified for the trip. Some members have their own gear and will use this instead of, or in combination with club gear.
This is a trip organized under the away pass system. This means that transport of gear and care of gear is your responsibility. You may be asked to pay for any damage to or loss of gear. This is different from our main club trips, and simplifies organization. There will be a planning session (see below) to make sure everyone has transport and gear. Gear may need to be shared depending on participation. There will be no rigging clinic or gear transport clinic associated with this trip -- please ask for help/instruction if you need it; do not transport gear without experience or having received such instruction.
A nominal
Club Trip Fee is required for all members who will be using club gear on the trip, but it is waived for those who already have a
High Wind Pass.

Hood River, Columbia River Gorge
Briefly, we will be camping at Tucker Campground. The river can still be quite cold in May, and the river current can be quite strong, so bring at least a 4/3 wetsuit. However, the river current is usually in the opposite direction from the wind, making trying out smaller boards really fun! This trip is limited to L3 and smaller L2 boards.

* Travel dates are guidelines - cars can decide when they wish to leave and return, within reasonable limits.
Registration types:
Please register for the trip based on the type of club's windsurfing boards you believe you need for the trip. Registration is limited based on the number and type of boards that are approved for use on the trip. There are also registration types for members who own their own gear, are planning to rent gear on-site (e.g., at Hood River's retail/rental shops), or are not planning to windsurf. Guests can accompany members on trips but cannot use club gear.
