Windsurfing Trip - Nitinaht 2022

A nominal Club Trip Fee is required for all members who will be using club gear on the trip, but is waived for two volunteer trip co-leaders and for those who already have a High Wind Pass.  Contact the Director (windsurfing@clublocarno.com) to be a trip leader. Whether you need to use club gear (or not), please register so there's a sense of how many members will be in the trip.

The trip details:

• Trip will be July 29 to August 1 (August long weekend).
• Open to Levels 2 and 3.
  
• You will organize your own transport - at the end is 90 minutes on a (good) gravel logging road.
  
• We may rent a van to transport club gear, or ideally rely on members to do the transport. 
• This year we will add the camping fee ($75) to the club trip fee ($20).
• • If you bring a partner or guests: simply increase the number of camping spots you need (people, not sites).
  • If you have your own booking you can write "0" for camping spots.
  • Do not put other Locarno windsurfing members on your camping guest list - have them register separately.
    
  • We will sort out tents and sites during the first planning meeting.
  • We have 16 sites reserved, and can have 4 adults per site.
  • Children (17 and under) are free.
    

Key Dates:

• Sunday, July 10 (7pm): Online planning trip (early transport, etc.)
  
• Sunday, July 24: Online planning meeting (transport, camping, etc.)
  

• Wednesday, July 27: Trip-Planning Meeting and pre-trip work party (How to Plan a Windsurfing Trip!)

• Thursday July 28 (5pm): Load the van!
  

• Friday, july 29: Leave

• Monday, August 1: Return
  

• Wednesday August 3 Post-Trip Cleanup & BBQ

Registration types:

Please register for the trip based on the type of club's windsurfing boards you believe you need for the trip (L2/L3). Registration is limited based on the number and type of boards that are approved for use on the trip. There are also registration types for members who own their your own gear, and for members who are not planning to windsurf. Guests can accompany members on trips but cannot use club gear.

• It is a beautiful spot: Nitinat Lake
• This trip is awesome for intermediate to advanced L2. Nitinaht has no wind in the morning and typically high wind at the end of the day. A great opportunity to progress.
