Windsurfing Trip - Nitinaht

Nitinaht windsurfing trip

This is a trip organized under the away pass system. This means that transport of gear and care of gear is your responsibility. You may be asked to pay for any damage to or loss of gear. This is different from our main club trips, and simplifies organization. This trip is open to advanced Level 2 and Level 3 members.

This is smaller mid-July trip, not to be confused with the larger trip over the BC-Day weekend.

Camping availability is extremely limited, the organizers (two members) have secured one campsite, the first two subsequent sign ups will be able to join the organizers’ campsite. After that, members will have to find their own campsite bookings. As usual, some members may leave for the trip earlier and/or return later than the dates specified for the trip. Some members have their own gear and will use this instead of, or in combination with club gear.

A nominal Club Trip Fee is required for all members who will be using club gear on the trip, but it is waived for those who already have a High Wind Pass.

Briefly, we will be camping at Nitinaht Campsite. This trip is limited to L3 and smaller L2 boards.

Key Dates:

• July 11 @ 5 PM- Trip Registration Closes (absolute latest)
• July 11 @ 7 PM – Video Conference Trip Planning Session
• July 15 evening – gear collection
• Saturday July 16* - leave early
• Monday July 19* - return

* Travel dates are guidelines - cars can decide when they wish to leave and return, within reasonable limits.

Registration types:

Please register for the trip based on the type of club's windsurfing boards you believe you need for the trip. Registration is limited based on the number and type of boards that are approved for use on the trip. There are also registration types for members who own their own gear. Guests can accompany members on trips but cannot use club gear.
