Get Fit for Summer Fun on the Water - Session 2

Calling all rowers, paddlers, and sailors alike! The weather is warming up meaning... it's  time for all of us to get back on the water! Join us for an hour of dry-land cardio, strength, and mobility training that focuses on the pushing and pulling movements that are key for so many water sports. Rotational core and stabilization work will be combined with both explosive and endurance cardio to prepare your body for anything the water brings. We welcome all fitness levels to work their bodies to some groovy tunes every Sunday in May!

Pls bring:

  • Yoga Mat or towel

  • Water bottle

  • Running shoes

We will be outside on the grassy area between Jericho and Locarno beach, weather permitting, or in the JSC hangar if inclement weather; we'll meet at the entrance to the Jericho Sailing Centre at 10:15. Pls join the Club Locarno Slack channel as notifications will be posted there. Guests of our members are welcome at the $5/class deal and drop-ins are available for $10 at the top of class..

We're thrilled to welcome Shelby Shukaliak as our instructor! Shelby is a group fitness instructor and coach at Witness the Fitness where she loves working with clients to build a positive relationship with their body by introducing movement and physical literacy through play. When she’s not teaching, she’s behind the desk as WTF’s beloved administrative assistant. Outside of the gym, she can be found dragon boating on False Creek, playing bass, or singing Dolly Parton karaoke.

After class,  join us for coffee, brunch, and social time at the Galley Patio or Diced Discovery Cafe.
