SUP Clinic with Mark Nodwell
Prerequisite: You should be checked out for Level 1 SUP and be comfortable paddling while standing. This is not a checkout.
Learn to combine full body movements, stance and balance with paddle strokes to improve your control, efficiency, confidence and power on the board. If you're hooked on SUP and want to start paddling further, have fun riding waves, or try racing, then this course is for you.
Arrive dressed to be in the water, we are all going to get wetOverview
- Forward stroke: becoming efficient and faster
- Turning quickly, including pivot turns and rudder strokes
- Riding waves and paddling in rough conditions
- Fast launches
- Intro to racing
Please come 5 minutes early, in your wetsuit. Be prepared to have fun and get wet!
*Wet suits recommended, we will spend time in the water
