Cross Fleet Exploration - Try out the Rowing Fleet

One of the best things about Club Locarno is the wide variety of fleets we have! If you are a Locarno member, but haven't tried the Rowing Fleet, then this Cross Fleet Exploration event is for you! Even if you don't plan on joining this fleet, this is a great opportunity to see the other parts of our club that your membership fees support!

At this free event, you will get a hands-on feel of what the Rowing Fleet offers. No previous experience necessary. Possible (wind dependent) activities include:

• Coffee/treats, welcome, and introductions
• Look at the different kinds of hulls we have
• Try out rowing on a rowing machine
• Get into an echo and try rowing near the shore (you'll be tied to the beach so you can't go anywhere)
• Row while towing an experienced member on an SUP

What to Wear
Any synthetic athletic clothing that you don't mind getting wet. Rowing is the only fleet where a wetsuit is not usually worn. You can row in bare feet, but often some sort of water footwear is worn.
