Windsurfing checkout - Introduction to winging

This clinic & checkout is for Level 2 and Level 3 windsurfers to allow them to use Wings in combination with L1 longboards (not foils).

The clinic is not a formal lesson. If you're interested in formal lessons or want access if you are a non-windsurfer or level 1 windsurfer, please refer to our Windsurfing & Wing Lessons page.

The clinic will cover how to apply your existing windsurfing skills to use a wing:

• Inflating the wings
• Flying & controlling the wing
• Carrying the board and wing together
• Climbing on small boards when on the water
• Launching the wing and standing
• Tacking & gybing
• Self rescue
• Deflating and storing wings

The clinic is hands-on, with on-water time, and weather permitting - we need some wind.

The checkout is upon attendance of the clinic and successful demonstration of sailing up wind, returning to shore and self rescue.
