Our annual Rowing Fleet Spring Cleaning is on Sunday, March 30th, 10AM - noon. This event is of special interest to our rowers, but every member is welcome.
No previous experience required. We'll be cleaning (and waxing, weather permitting) 13 boats, including our most recent acquisition, the LiteRace 2X (!!!), so it will be ideal if we have at least that many people.
This is a great opportunity to put some Club Locarno Volunteer Hours into your Karma Jar, and get answers to questions such as "Where are parts are stored?", "What parts do we even have?", "If I want to fix/replace something, what do I need/do?", "Who do I contact?", "How can I join the Rowing Fleet?", etc.
Please bring a pair of gloves to use for washing. We'll proceed rain or shine - unless it is absolutely miserable - so dress appropriately.
As usual, "Management" will provide direction, music, and encouragement. They have also been known to pitch in.
Register as a "Volunteer", unless you are a Fleet Captain, in which case you should register as "Work party leader". You are not required to bring your Red Book, however.
