Fall Work Party - Rowing Fleet

As part of wrapping-up the 2025 Rowing Season, we're proud to announce yet another Annual Fall "Work" Party!

Many hands make light work, as do years of Procedural Refinement, Adherence to ever-evolving Operational Guidelines, and - you guessed it - Dedicated Teams. We have come a mighty long way since we began in 1989, and I'm sure you'll agree that the improvement in our Sleek and Streamlined Operation is not unlike that of how Formula One Pit Stops have changed over the years. 

if you're new to the Fleet, come out to see how Club Locarno executes Efficiency, and become a part of the team that Re-Defines Excellence. If you're an Old Salt, come regale us with stories of how, in the "Old Days", you'd have to pump water from the wells and carry it for kilometers, uphill, both ways even, make soap weeks in advance, and actually sing Shanties for Morale. 

Here's the plan:

• Clean boats: Echos (8), Literaces (2), Maas Aeros (2), the Alden, the OarBoard, and the LiteRace 2X. Weather permitting, we'll also wax.
• Any boat in sick "bay" will be left dirty. Cruel, maybe; but Life requires Choices, and a Hard Life requires Hard Choices. Our craft work hard!
• Cleaning oars, tightening screws, and noting wear and fixes that need attention.
• Remember to bring a pair of gloves for washing, and dress appropriately for the weather and mis-directed hoses: we proceed regardless of the conditions ... lightning excepted.

So hit that Register button: with a total of 15 boats we like to have at least 14 volunteers (excluding Managers, as they are in a category of their own) in order to maintain our reputation for of Cleanliness.

Please register as a Volunteer, unless you are a Fleet Captain or Director, who should register as Work Party Leader.
