Kayak Clinic - Edging and Boat Control

Edging is a foundation skill for many kayaking techniques.  Learning to use your body to control the kayak will bring grace and fluidity to your paddling.  We'll cover some of the theory of edging, practice edging, then explore combining edging with different paddle strokes.

Mark Nodwell will be your clinic leader.  Meet at the kayak shed at 9:30 to rig and prepare.  Please dress for immersion.

Prerequisites:  Checkout for kayak fleet.  Must be able to self-rescue, have basic paddle skills and be comfortable balancing in a kayak.
