Canada by Canoe has seen three adventurers undertake an epic 8,000+ km journey by canoe across the country, from Tadoussac, Québec, to the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, they've taken on some of Canada's most challenging waterways while raising funds and awareness for True North Aid, supporting Indigenous communities in northern and remote regions.
Nolan, Will and Georges of Canada by Canoe are finishing their epic journey at Jericho! On Saturday, November 14, we're inviting the Jericho paddling community to get out on the water and help give them a memorable West Coast welcome.
The three paddlers will depart the Musqueam reserve launch ramp on the Fraser River at 0900H and make their way toward Jericho, with an anticipated landing at the Jericho Sailing Centre around 1300H, conditions permitting. Jericho Rescue will provide an escort for their entire journey from Musqueam.
We're encouraging JSCA paddlers and rowers to launch after sunrise and make their way along Spanish Bank to meet the team as they round Point Grey. From there, join the flotilla and escort Nolan, Will and Georges back to Jericho!
This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate an extraordinary cross-country adventure and show these paddlers just how welcoming the Jericho community can be.
